Marstons Mills Public Library Hosts Author Ron MacLean

Award-winning author discusses his newest mystery release HEADLONG
MARSTONS MILLS, Mass. - June 7, 2014 - PRLog -- (Martsons Mills, MA—June 7, 2014)  Marstons Mills Library Mystery Speaker Series is pleased to host author Ron MacLean, author of HEADLONG, on Wednesday, June 18, 2014 at Marstons Mills Public Library at 10:30 AM.

It’s a hot Boston summer, and Nick Young, a washed-up
journalist back in town to care for his dying father, is feeling the heat.  Using his old skills to solve a mystery before the police do:  connect the dots between a major labor strike, a violent Occupy-style movement, and a murder that may involve his best friend’s son.

Award-winning author Ron MacLean has delivered a blistering, moving literary thriller about fathers, sons, eco-terrorism, murder, immaturity, anarchism, marriage, friendship and failure.  A former investigative journalist himself, MacLean taps this vein of crime fiction as a compelling social novel.  The book raises pressing questions about both the consequences of violent demonstrations and the cost of sitting on the sidelines.

Please join us on June 18 at 10:30 AM at the Marstons Mills Public Library, 2160 Main Street, Marstons Mills, MA for MacLean’s talk about the book, the craft of writing, and how he so successfully merges entertainment with social realism.  There is no admission charge.  For more information, please visit
