Knoxville Writers’ Guild Seeks Submissions for Contest

KNOXVILLE, Tenn. - May 19, 2014 - PRLog -- Submissions for the annual Knoxville Writers' Guild writing contest will be accepted now through June 15.

Contestants may enter their work in several categories including poetry, creative nonfiction, novel excerpt, one-act play and screenwriting. In addition to the Leslie Garrett Award for Literary Fiction, this year KWG offers additional fiction categories for romance, crime/mystery, sci-fi/fantasy and young writers' prizes.

"I love that the diversity of the categories in the Knoxville Writers' Guild writing contest matches the diversity of the writing in the region of Appalachia," Chad Burge, KWG contest committee chairman, said.

Questions should be sent to kwgcontests (at) gmail (dot) com. For more information, including a full list of submission guidelines, please visit www.knoxvillewritersguild.org/contest.
