NASHVILLE, Tenn. - May 13, 2014 - PRLog -- Heart Songs for Veterans is a music initiative in which artists donate new song releases with proceeds going to Veteran Organizations across the country.  Heart Songs country music artist Kayla Nettles releases "God Cried" today on itunes.  Produced by Brian Agee & Jeff Huskins DFM Productions (Nashville) and penned by Rose Fagan and Ron Holdren.  Founder of Heart Songs for Veterans Jill Pavel, said she was speechless when Agee presented the song in video format (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=j-zkTpI4ONc&list=UUBkEdX06ijgfeGHX3jGRFNw) to her for consideration. "It was a no brainer, how can you not consider the depth of the talent Nettles presents on such a beautifully written song.  I am proud to present this song to the public and utilize it to raise funds for one of our supported Charities, Operation Troop Aid.

Kayla Nettles (http://heartsongsforveterans.org/artist/kayla-nettles/) is an American Idol Hollywood week finalist and “The Voice” Contestant. 2013 New artist for the CMA Fest and Country Radio Seminar. She is the host and performer for a T.V. show in Nashville, Tennessee called “Nashville Spotlight” and has opened for various artists throughout the years such as “Florida Georgia Line”, “Love & Theft “, “Travis Tritt”, “Charlie Worsham”, “Joe Nichols”, etc. at the country radio seminar and many more. Being influenced by music since a child she has a true appreciation for performing and captivating a crowd. She is a Florida native and would love to share her talent with many people around the World!

Rose Fagan and Ron Holdren penned the song "God Cried". Rose Fagan was born  and raised in Indiana. Rose grew up with music in her life.  As a teenager she played drums, and has been writing music for several years.  She was coordinator in Atlanta and Phoenix for NSAI  – Nashville Songwriters Association. Moving to Nashville in 2009, she has been pursuing songwriting ever since.  She has won several awards including the John Lennon Songwriters contest in the gospel category in  2012.

Ron Holdren Born in Kansas and raised in South Dakota has been playing music all his life and has been a part of the Minnesota music scene since the early 80’s. He is the co-coordinator for the Twin Cities workshop of the Nashville Songwriters Association International.  Roy's songwriting awards include honorable mention in the Billboard Songwriting Contest and a finalist in the 2008 CMT/NSAI Songwriting Contest. He has gotten numerous independent cuts on his songs with The Killer Hayseeds, Adrienne Haupt, Tom Wurth, Kurt Fortmeyer, Lucas Doppler, Alex Cartwright, and five songs on the Maiden Dixie debut CD.

Nettles will also be featured on a new company cause, Heart Songs for Cancer launching June 2014.
