GMC Announces Pricing for CNG-Capable Sierra Pickup | McElveen Automotive

By: McElveen Auto Group

May 8, 2014 - PRLog -- CHARLESTON, SOUTH CAROLINA-- The 2014 GMC Sierra 2500HD and 3500HD pickup trucks will come with a bi-fuel option, allowing drivers to switch between compressed natural gas and standard gasoline, and GMC recently announced pricing details on those options.

The bi-fuel option for the Sierra models will start at $9,5,00. The CNG option will allow drivers improved efficiency and greater fuel savings, as natural gas costs less than standard gasoline.

“Based on current average fuel prices, CNG is more than a dollar cheaper than an equivalent gallon of gasoline, giving drivers and businesses an incentive to use CNG to power their vehicles,” said Ed Peper, U.S. vice president, General Motors Fleet and Commercial. “Given the consistent cost savings and expanding infrastructure, both commercial and individual interest in CNG vehicles continues to grow.”
