Signs point the way to The Green Room’s second anniversary

“As we both had many years of experience in the restaurant industry, Ben and I dreamed of owning a restaurant together and when we moved here to Hendersonville, three years ago, we looked to find a suitable location.We purchased the Living Room Coffeehouse in August 2012, and knew it had great potential.It was a seamless transition and as we approach our second anniversary we have extended our menu and hours and made many improvements to the restaurant.We take pride in offering local ingredients.  Farm to Table is very important to us from incorporating the freshest highest quality ingredients to supporting local businesses.Everything we serve is fresh, whether it is made here or in the case of our breads or some of our desserts, they are fresh from local bakeries and cake makers.”

The menu is varied, including gluten free and vegan/vegetarian dishes.  The coffee served is also locally roasted and is available for purchase as well.

Some dinner favorites include:

Chicken Piccata (A Sautéed boneless breast of chicken, in a zesty lemon, caper and butter sauce. Served on a bed of fettuccine with toasted focaccia tips).

Sea Scallops (Sea Scallops pan-seared in garlic butter and apple wood bacon. Served with balsamic glaze sauce, maple relish, rainbow couscous, quinoa and the vegetable of the day).

A few lunch favorites Include:

Souvlaki Wrap (Marinated pork tenderloin tips on toasted pita with a Tzatiki sauce, lettuce, tomato and onion).

Main Street (Smoked turkey breast with cranberry-cherry mix, romaine lettuce, parmesan and pesto on French bread).

Vegetarian Cuban (Layers of roasted red bell peppers, mushrooms, spinach, caramelized onions, olive salad, Cheddar and Swiss cheese and chipotle mayo on toasted pressed focaccia bread).

The menu also includes great breakfast items and scrumptious home-made desserts.

“Signage, especially for a restaurant is extremely important.  We had met Arlene Sullivan at a Chamber Christmas event, and as we were working through the rebranding we began to have discussion.Their experience and insight was extremely helpful, so it was natural that we chose Asheville Signarama to produce our signs. Arlene and her team did a great job. The signs are attractive and meet our needs perfectly.”

The Green Room is also host to a variety of events, from Non-Profits/Charities such as “Feed the Kids” to supporting Elevents.org events for local education facilities.They also supported the first Chamber Gala Event, and is a sponsor for the Park Ridge Foundation Gala . In addition they support local musicians and bands as a venue for evening entertainment for their guests.“Hendersonville has a great music scene and we are excited to be a part of this and to provide a way for them to showcase their talents.”

The Green Room provides catering and special events, including private parties.  Their open for lunch seven days a week, breakfast 8.30am to 10.30 (Tuesday –Saturday) and Dinner (Friday and Saturday only) 5.30pm – until.
