Sarasota’s Renaissance I Association Finalist in 2014 Community of Excellence

SARASOTA, Fla. - April 29, 2014 - PRLog -- Sentry Management congratulates Renaissance I Association, a high-rise, 16 floor condominium with 244 units in downtown Sarasota, as a finalist in the 2014 Florida Communities of Excellence awards. Renaissance I was nominated for the award in the category of “Energy Efficiency” after undertaking a four year program to upgrade aging equipment, reduce energy consumption, improve operating costs and address safety measures.

Thomas Richardson, currently Assistant Division Manager with responsibility for the Longboat Key office of Sentry Management, served as Community Manager of Renaissance I during the four years of the energy efficiency effort being recognized. “It was a complex initiative of about a dozen major projects that were prioritized based on cost and financial return” said Richardson. “I worked closely with two great Board committees, engineers and consultants to make smart, well-informed decisions. I think our efforts really paid off.”

The Florida Communities of Excellence Award represents the pinnacle of achievement for community associations in our state and has recognized dozens of outstanding communities throughout Florida since its founding in 2008.
