MACOMB, Mich. - April 24, 2014 - PRLog -- On July 18, 2014, surgeons will receive advanced surgical training at an event sponsored by GraMedica® to be held at The Academia, a specialized educational and research facility in Singapore. This event will bring together leading foot and ankle surgeons from around the globe for professional development in the “Minimally Invasive Approach to Flexible Flat Foot Surgery,” led by instructor Dr. Michael E. Graham.

The Academia provides new and high-tech facilities in its 13-storey twin towers – Diagnostics and Discovery. Its 75,000 sqm in gross floor area was designed to meet SingHealth’s vision of “Tomorrow’s Medicine Starts Here.” Its facilities are the ideal location and environment for this advanced surgical training event.

Dr. Graham is the founder and director of the Graham International Implant Institute®, an organization dedicated in educating foot and ankle specialists to use cutting-edge, ground breaking technologies and procedures. Upon completion of the surgical training workshop and cadaver lab, attendees have the information they need to recognize, diagnose, and surgically treat to bring about restoration and improvement to a significant number of patients with painful foot and ankle disorders.

GraMedica® is the Macomb, Michigan developer and manufacturer of HyProCure®, a surgical stent that has been used in over 27,000 procedures worldwide to treat congenital/acquired talotarsal joint dislocation, a surgically correctable condition that results in the misalignment of the foot and other major structures of the body. Left untreated, congenital/acquired talotarsal joint dislocation can lead to serious, long-term foot, knee, hip, and back related issues that often require much more aggressive forms of surgery. The minimally invasive HyProCure® procedure has provided children and adult patients with immediate and permanent correction for congenital/acquired talotarsal joint dislocation.
