Black Diamonds is a documentary film that will be directed by acclaimed actor and director Bill Duke.  This film will tell the true story of the Black men who played professional baseball in the United States from post - Cival War  to the Negro Leagues and the "barnstorming days", to their consistent impact on Major League Baseball from 1947 through the present.  Black Diamonds will chronicle the contributions of Black platyers to the game and to American society as they helped usher in significant social, economic and political change that is still being felt today.

Black men have had an undeniable critical role in making Baseball "America's Pastime".
