New Digital Blueprint Certificate Provides Essential Digital Strategies For Small Businesses

MIDDLETOWN, N.J. - April 3, 2014 - PRLog -- America’s Small Business Development Center New Jersey at Brookdale Community College has released a new certificate program focused on digital strategies and implementation for small businesses. This program encompasses the fast-moving essential skills all small businesses require to succeed and grow in today’s changing marketplace. The Digital Blueprint Certificate is comprised of eight courses—six core courses and two electives, covering social media and web development in both business-to-business and business-to-consumer models.

There has been a transformational shift in the marketing industry. An entrepreneur’s approach in connecting with both new and existing customers/clients does not resemble the standard approaches used only a few years ago.

Lisa Kanda, social media expert, instructor and CRO of Elkay Corporate Advisors says, “While many small business owners know that including social media is necessary to market their products and services, they either don’t have the time or the knowledge of the various platforms to implement a successful strategy. The Digital Blueprint Certificate is meant to provide business owners with the competencies to create and implement a digital strategy, using appropriate social media platforms, best practices and tools, to build their business and online reputation.”

Effective social media and digital campaigns go beyond simple posts and soft skills. They require planning and executing a strategy based on industry knowledge, research, measurable interactions, analytics and readjustments throughout the process.
