Indie Filmmaking Gets Ugly In Natural Born Filmmaker

HOLLYWOOD, Calif. - March 26, 2014 - PRLog -- Grunder Oakley Productions proudly announces “Natural Born Filmmaker”--a no-holds-barred, searing satire about the less glamorous side of modern day indie filmmaking.  In “Natural Born Filmmaker” a rift between two filmmakers and their distributors spirals out of control, involving a threatening Mob boss, zombies running amok and guns ablaze.  Both a cautionary tale as well as a spoof, “Natural Born Filmmaker” reveals what happens when you mix naive producers, shady investors and carefully calculated contracts. And it does it all with a wry sense of self-awareness.  It's the Hollywood dream gone nightmare.

“Natural Born Filmmaker” is written by the prolific Steve Oakley, who will also be directing and acting as executive producer.  The film is being produced through Grunder Oakley Productions. Oakley and Melanie Grunder founded Grunder Oakley Productions to make unique independent films and “Natural Born Filmmaker” will be no exception.  Previous films have included “Waiting for Dracula”, “Meet the Moguls” and “Absolute Horror”.

The colorful and accomplished cast includes six time Oakley collaborator Domiziano Arcangeli, Shaun Gerardo, Lindsay Lamb, Gregory Blair, Vida Ghaffari, Art Roberts, Dawna Lee Heising, Michael DeCamp, Diane Chambers, Stan Goodrich, Eric Schindler, Kathy Krantz Stewart, Melanie Grunder, Lisa Cohen, Leah Machelle Cohen, Andrew Mangialino, Merri Jamison and Alexis Van Der Gaag.

“Natural Born Filmmaker” will be premiering at the Action On Film International Film Festival in Monrovia, California.  Action on Film 2014 will be held on August 22-30, and is the 10^th anniversary of AOF.  Eye on Entertainment will cover the premiere of “Natural Born Filmmaker” at AOF 2014.
