Taymika G. Byrd Announces the Crescent City Connection Book Launch Party, Saturday March 29th

March 26, 2014 - PRLog -- New Orleans native and author, Taymika G. Byrd announces the premier of her latest publication, Crescent City Connection. Ms. Bryd’s latest novel will be available in stores and through popular online retailers (keyword: Crescent City Connection) beginning March 29th, 2014.

In an effort to increase awareness and further the fight against sexual assault, Taymika is partnering with Crescent House of the New Orleans Family Justice Center, Write On Press, local business and community leaders to expand the discussion of how to support the efforts to reduce instances of sexual assault and increase resources to aid victims of this crime.

In addition, Taymika and her publishers at Write On Press have committed to donate a portion of all sales during Sexual Assault Awareness Month (this April) to the Crescent House to support their programs.

The novel features Colette Dupre’; the central female protagonist of the Crescent City Connection world. In this story, Colette is the target of a sexual assault during the Mardi Gras season. The reader is carried through a roller coaster ride of action, drama and suspense as Colette tries to cope with the trials of her assault while the antagonist continually harasses her.

The story climaxes with a shoot out at the Zulu ball on Lundi Gras! With twists and turns, heart gripping drama and suspense, and just enough history and humor to highlight the real culture of the Crescent City, this novel will certainly be a favorite.
