Canadian Mompreneurs Going All In and Leading the Way to Entrepreneurial Success

TORONTO - March 17, 2014 - PRLog -- With only one week left until the Mompreneurs® Conference and Awards Gala, Canadians will be that much closer to finding out who Canada’s newest Mompreneur® of the Year will be, and the winner of the $35,000+ Grand Prize.  12 finalists have been selected from across the county to vie for the Mompreneur® Award of Excellence.

This year’s conference elevates the stage with Keynote speaker Arlene Dickinson.  Considered one of Canada’s most popular and successful female entrepreneurs, Arlene is an exemplary role model for moms in business; having recently founded You Inc, dedicated to serving, investing and promoting the advancement of entrepreneurial pursuits, Arlene was asked why there seems to be a such a strong prevalence of working mothers in the media recently and states, "Canadian women are strong, smart, and capable candidates for entrepreneurship - what we are seeing is a trend in today's busy society where mothers are able to fine tune their expertise and develop successful businesses that also work with their family life. Arlene will be joined by an enviable roster of business leaders and mentors from across North America. The top 12 finalists were announced March 3rd, and now it’s up to the well-rounded panel of expert judges to determine who the winner of the “Mompreneur® Award of Excellence” will be. The winner will be chosen based on a set of specific criteria including track record of success, innovation of business idea, opportunities for national and global expansion and impact on community.
