First Hack The Government event outside of London held in Bournemouth supported by C4L

BOURNEMOUTH, U.K. - March 10, 2014 - PRLog -- C4L, the IT infrastructure specialists based in Bournemouth, headline sponsored the two day event over 8^th & 9^th of March  to support for the creative experts in working closely with the public sector to create some great opportunities for the people of Bournemouth.

National Hack The Government is an annual hack day organised by Rewired State. Their aim is to improve transparency, open data and relationships between the Government and the public. The competitive event creates prototypes and builds ingenious projects that help improve state services through use of open UK government data.

The digital media experts worked on four challenges over the two day event including: ‘What if there was free, open WIFI on the beach?’ ‘Enhance the experience of a tourist travelling in to Bournemouth’ to make the data weekend beneficial to Bournemouth. The 50+ creative developers and hackers confronted these challenges and delivered fantastic solutions as well as bringing their own challenges to the table.
