Click Energy Introduces New Electricity Comparison Tool

COLLINGWOOD, Australia - March 6, 2014 - PRLog -- Online electricity retailer Click Energy is one of the only Australian retailers to release a tool on their website that allows anyone to review how their current electricity bill compares to that of Click Energy based on their peak energy consumption and billing period.

Click Energy is filling a gap in the electricity market not previously addressed by other energy retailers. Until Click Energy’s tool, there were not many options available for consumers to compare energy bills based on electricity usage. Instead, consumers’ option was to receive an energy bill estimate based on their household-size.

The issue with estimates based on household size is that it does not give consumers accurate data, making comparing various electricity retailers difficult for consumers. Click Energy’s tool utilises consumers’ individual electricity-data when comparing current energy rates to Click Energy’s electricity plan rates.

A visitor interested in seeing how their energy bill compares to those of Click Energy’s, can navigate to Click Energy’s website and enter their postcode in the quick quote box on the homepage. After having entered their electricity usage and billing cycle on the second page, the tool shows what Click Energy’s equivalent electricity bill would look like based on the details entered by the visitor.

According to David McNeil, Click Energy’s General Manager of Customer Experience, the company aims to bring more transparency and simplicity to electricity pricing. McNeil says: “Comparing energy prices between different retailers can often be confusing and tedious for consumers. Click Energy is all about making electricity simple and easy to understand, and we recognised a real need for a tool like this. We believe it will give people real insight into energy billing and help them to see how their energy provider fares against Click Energy.”

The Click Energy rates displayed by the tool are based on peak-only tariffs and feature Click Energy’s most competitive energy plans Click Elite and Click Easy. The visitors are given the chance to switch to Click Energy or email the estimate to themselves for later inspection if they wish.
