Product Protects Homeowners from Loss of Running Water and Damage Caused by Frozen Pipes

No-Freeze Technology Provides Round-The-Clock Protection Against Freezing and Burst Water Pipes

OCEANSIDE, Calif. - March 6, 2014 - PRLog -- RedyTemp ATC3000, a freeze prevention system that virtually guarantees homeowners increased protection from frozen pipesand burst water lines, has met with great consumer acceptance since making its bold entrance into the marketplace five years ago.  “This technology has been a great benefit to homeowners and insurance companies alike,” according to Richard Nielsen, president of Temtrol deltaT, Inc (http://www.redytemp.com/)., which developed and markets RedyTemp ATC3000 systems.

Over the years, Temtrol deltaT, Inc. (http://www.redytemp.com/) products have repeatedly proven to be effective in protecting pipes in freezing winter temperatures including two polar vortexes.where temperatures dropped to -37F” said Nielsen.

Its RedyTemp product works by circulating tepid to warm water through both hot and cold water supply lines, thus protecting homes from expensive water damage that often result from frozen pipes.

According to Nielsen, the Intelli-Circ technology of the RedyTemp ATC3000 system minimizes the amount of energy required to prevent water crystallizing and freezing inside pipes. “The ATC3000's effectiveness and cost-efficiency,” he said, “results from intermittently circulating heated water from the homes existing water heater but, only as needed to maintain water within the pipes at the users chosen temperature.  As heated water molecules circulate through the pipes, cooler water molecules on contact instantly consume the energy from heated water molecules.  This exchange of energy continues until all water molecules inside the pipe including those in branched pipes are the same temperature.  This delivery method results in energy being directly applied to colder water molecules rather than pipes, fittings and surround air.  Unlike electric insulating devices, often called heat tapes, which consumes more energy heating the outside of the pipes and wasting significant energy to the environment.

Homeowners, businesses, and insurance companies affected when pipes burst and cause thousands of dollars in water damage and insurance claims can benefit from this remarkable device.

Heat tape devices can be costly to install, and maintain and at around 7 watts per foot, have a relatively high energy consumption protecting even short length pipe runs. In addition, they do not protect pipes hidden behind walls, concrete slabs or any other place where easy access to pipes is not possible.  All of these problems have been effectively eliminated by the ATC3000,” explained Nielsen.

“Our device uses one-tenth of the energy consumed by outside-the-pipe heat tape. Anyone who fears or has actually suffered the damage, expense and inconvenience of frozen pipes will appreciate the ATC3000’s quick and easy do-it-yourself, four- hose, under-sink installation, which takes all of 20 minutes,” added Nielsen.

Its low intermittent 40-watt power consumption also allows use of uninterruptible power supply equipment for continued protection during power outages

ABOUT TEMTROL deltaT, INC.

Temtrol deltaT, Inc (http://www.redytemp.com/)., established in 1994, will celebrate 20 years in business this March. They provide products designed to optimize lifestyles by saving water, time and energy without sacrificing comfort, convenience or efficiency.   The company’s RedyTemp brand of products was initially designed to eliminate the wasted time and water caused by waiting for hot water to arrive at faucets and showers.  A typical family of four waiting a minute for hot water to arrive 3 times each day would save nearly 10,000 gallons of water and more than 72 hours of time each year with instant hot water.  Finding a product which benefits owners in so many ways is rare in this day and age. The introduction of the RedyTemp ATC3000 takes the company’s legacy technology to an entirely new level, as it keeps wintertime temperatures from creating unwanted disasters.
