| Kickstarter MazeScroll Babies Project Campaign LaunchedNew Kickstarter project reinvents the maze puzzle games for the whole family. These maze puzzles in the form of scrolls can be played by multiple players.
By: Konokopia The MazeScroll Babies reinvent the maze puzzle game for the whole family. Each different design was created to be played by mutiple-players, some using dice. Many of the designs use unique new graphics to make a maze puzzle. Some are inspired by art and architecture. The artist has been developing the MazeScrolls since 2009 when he took a leftover roll of art paper from his architecture project and created his first hand drawn maze in the form of a scroll. Since then, Jonze has created over 48 MazeScrolls. He has experimented with different graphic styles, different lengths of scroll, and different game play possibilities. Almost all the MazeScrolls have been created digitally. "Creating these digitally allows me to try different thing much easier. I don't have to start all over if I make a mistake. I also can create more complex and detailed mazes because I have more control using the digital art media." The eight different designs that Jonze chose for the Kickstarter campaign show graphic variety. Each MazeScroll Baby is different stylistically. The eight MazeScrolls are: Crossing, De Stijl Mile, Lover's Duel, Galaxy Far, Faar, Faaar Away, Perimeter Perplexity, Skritches, Skretches and Skrutches, Daedalus Palace and Daedalus Treasure. The artist refers to these eight designs as his MazeScroll Babies, hence the project title. "A creator's creations are like his children. While women bear children, men create them. So these are like my children," explains the artist. And to carry that theme further, the Kickstarter campaign slogan that the artist created is "Adopt a MazeScroll Baby." Backers of the project can adopt individual MazeScroll Babies or the whole set of eight.
