New telework and flexible work practice blog resource has officially launched
“Demographics are changing and our workforce is now expecting more of their employers,” said a spokesperson for The Freedom to Work. “We decided that now was the time to launch the blog and get managers thinking about more flexible work options. Employees are already expecting this change in management, so it’s time for managers to get on board.”
The Freedom to Work will incorporate think-pieces, relevant news and detailed how-to guides in order to get managers telework-ready. With regular contributors and an active Twitter tie-in, the blog will highlight the good, the bad, and the changeable when it comes to flexible work practices.
“It’s important that telework is being taken seriously. The demographic imperative for flexibility at work is increasing, the technology is available to support it, and yet our attitudes towards telework have become stagnant. We want to revitalize the conversation.”
The Freedom to Work is a project to promote telework. Founded by a group of dedicated teleworkers, the company aims to take telework mainstream and is directed at management who are willing to take the next step.
