Sacramento to Host NAWBO California Women Business Conference

SACRAMENTO, Calif. - March 5, 2014 - PRLog -- SACRAMENTO, Calif., March. 5 – On Monday, March 10th, 2014, hundreds of California women business owners will gather in California's capital city for the ‘Propel Your Business’ National Association of Women Business Owners California (NAWBO-CA) Business Conference.

The event to be held at the Sheraton Grand Hotel, located in downtown Sacramento, will kick off with opening remarks from Tina Loza, President of NAWBO-CA and attorney and managing partner with the law firm of Loza & Loza, LLP.

Immediately thereafter, Anne Staines, nominee for the NAWBO-CA Woman Business Owner of the Year, and President of NAWBO Sacramento Chapter (NAWBO-Sac), will deliver a special welcome address.

The conference will then be underway with panel sessions that have the immediate effect of improving women owned businesses in California. Topics addressed during the two-day conference will include the Affordable Care Act & Covered CA, Work-Life Balance; the State of Business Climate in California and Resources for California businesses; Cyber Security, Social Media for Businesses, Women on Corporate Boards, and a panel discussion with women legislators including Senator Hannah-Beth Jackson, Holly Mitchell, Jean Fuller, Cathleen Gagliani and Assembly members Beth Gaines, Cheryl Brown and Shirley Weber; on the cerftification process to gain both public and private contracts.

There will also be opportunities throughout the event for guests to network, including at the NAWBO-Sac hosted Women’s History Month Reception.
