DALLAS - March 13, 2014 - PRLog -- CEDF Knowledge Strategies is a members-only community that offers a forum for open and candid exchange of ideas and best practices relating to knowledge strategies. There are 6 communities including: ediscovery, information governance, knowledge asset management, privacy and security, data analytics, and big data strategies.

The CEDF-KS community is dedicated to bringing together diverse expertise and perspectives in a setting that fosters the open exchange of information and collaboration among its members. Members will come away with practical, actionable insights and knowledge strategies for application in their own organizations.

CEDF Knowledge Strategies is the only group in the market that offers a holistic approach to discussing and assimilating best practices across the corporate functional departments and disciplines. The aim is to build bridges between the functional disciplines and create the environment to share, collaborate and learn from each other’s key strategies. The collaboration efforts will occur through the member's and national committee leader's knowledge base, in-person forums, distance learning activities and a collaboration solution to capture knowledge strategies for each community.

Data analytics, big data strategies and knowledge asset management discussions has changed the focus and dynamics in the collaboration aspect in our community. In addition, the functional departments and disciplines within the corporate environment are changing the way they are doing business today. The challenge is the corporations need to collaborate in new ways that communicate strategic insights across their organization. “Disruptive competition and doing business in new ways can create gaps in the organization's overall strategic approach to the market.  We aim to discuss, develop and create collaborative strategies to address the communication gaps between functional areas as well as bring knowledge strategy methods to the forefront in 6 CEDF-KS communities” said Jeri Lou McKinney, Founder and CEO, CEDF Knowledge Strategies.

Reasons to participate in the CEDF-KS Community:

Members agree that co-creating innovation in their community is key to the success the group's 8 years in operation. Our aim is to help members to thrive in their corporate environment through validation activities: community discussions, benchmark surveys, panel discussions and distance learning activities. The communities collaborate to create management principles and best practices. Some of the members intentionally apply the knowledge obtained in their community or from another discipline within the organization. Networking and learning from community member’s experiences is a key reason the organization has grown from 30 Fortune companies in 2006 to currently over 330 Fortune companies in the CEDF-KS organization.

CEDF-KS is pleased to announce Lighthouse eDiscovery as an Organizational Sponsor for 2014. Lighthouse is a sustaining sponsor that provided a means for the group to continue its theme:  “Actionable Insights by connecting Communities”.

“Lighthouse eDiscoveryis proud to support the CEDF Knowledge Strategies in providing a forum for open dialogue, information sharing, and collaboration around the challenges of managing eDiscovery,” said Debora Motyka Jones, director of product strategy and counsel, Lighthouse eDiscovery. “This partnership strongly aligns with Lighthouse’s focus on practical ways for in-house counsel to generate efficiencies and lower the cost of eDiscovery.”
