Tri-Vek: A Tyvek Wallet redesigned

LOS ANGELES - Feb. 26, 2014 - PRLog -- As a minimalist, I am the biggest fan of simplicity and  so was Leonardo Da Vinci. He said “simplicity is the ultimate sophistication”.

One of the things that all of us can’t leave without is our wallet. Last year I was thinking of purchasing a wallet made out of Tyvek material. But before purchasing one, I researched about its Pros and Cons and found out that most people had problems with the Tyvek wallets getting crumpled due to their sizes being bigger than credit cards.

So I decided to make my own Tyvek wallet and improve the flaws:

1- I made the wallet same size as a credit card.

2- I made it tri-fold to make it more compact and yet roomier so you can put multiple cards and cash.

I went to my local FedEx depot and picked few FedEx express envelops that are made from tyvek material, and started making my first prototype and Tri-Vek was born.

With the prototype made, I could carry my 6 most used cards and 8 bills (not half or quarter folded) and it was still unbelievably compact. You can put up to 9 cards in the wallet (3 per card pouch), but 6 is a better number for longer wallet life. I used my prototype for 3 months; it didn't give me the problems that most people mentioned about the wallets getting crumpled.

Tri-Vek wallet is designed to hold currency notes of most countries such as Euro, US and CAND $ as well as Australian $. Maximum note size fitting in Tri-Vek wallet is 7.5 x 3.35 inches (19 cm x 8.5 cm)

Tri-Vek wallets come in 7 different color as well as  RIFD blocker versions for those who are concerned about identity theft.
