For the past ten years we have closely studied and monitored human behavior and actions or non-action people take or do not take when given a ‘golden’ opportunity. Drastic changes the last twenty years in how people communicate in this ‘age of technology’ changing how we see or assess opportunity. Instant communication has greatly affected how we make decisions, assess situations, react, respond, communicate, ignore or take action. Ninety-five percent of us will now ignore and not take advantage or even evaluate when presented with a ‘golden’ opportunity.   When we start an engine for the first time, it set's the blueprint of that engine for it's duration. We all know first impressions are everything in personal and business relationships. But just as in the life of an engine, it's the maintenance and care we put in throughout the life of those relationships, not just at the start that will determine how successful we become and grow with our partners. If we don't take the proper time to assess and recognize these opportunities, how can we successfully grow in our personal or business relationships? It takes a special person to see the greatness in someone else.

The average person will now see 3000 advertisements in a single day, not allowing many of us to even recognize these ‘golden’ opportunities. Society, social demands, ‘instant’ communication age and personal computing devices have now become a new dimension to our mental make-up and body. In reality, progress and moving forward in decision making is much slower and less productive than ever. Yes, with advanced communication and technology, it allows for ‘speed of light’ interaction globally and mass production but it has hampered our abilities to see opportunity and take advantage when presented to us on a silver platter. Nine-five percent of us now do not take the proper time to assess, review or evaluate ‘golden’ opportunities while making educated decisions that we would have taken advantage of and made twenty years ago. We will now, most times, skip over feeling overwhelmed and read mid-sentence or quickly glance due to information overload or future shock. How many times have we left a discussion with a colleague knowing what we have sent by request will never be reviewed. The person on the other end is swamped with the ease of access to and the tonnage of exposed information. Especially in this challenged economy, when ROI and post event sales are more closely scrutinized than ever, Turnover is also the highest ever in history, with employees being let go after bad decisions or budget spending nightmares being made by non-qualified, inexperienced staff. Companies pinching budgets, also means companies pinching training or hiring employees with the proper experience needed to make the right decisions needed for growth and bottom line. With the consumer being savvy and more careful than ever in their spending, onus is even greater on having the right person making the right decisions.
