New York Author, Writer for HuffPo to sign Copies of His New Book at St. Catherine's Chapters

The Gospel According to Josh is a comedic and poignant true-to-life tale of love, loss, struggle, and survival—a gospel account of one young man’s passage into manhood—his twenty-eight-year Gentile bar mitzvah.

NIAGARA FALLS, Ontario - Jan. 21, 2014 - PRLog -- Josh Rivedal—a New York City actor, international public speaker, and writer for the Huffington Post—will be signing copies of his new book The Gospel According to Josh: A 28-Year Gentile Bar Mitzvah at a Chapters Bookstore in St. Catherines, Ontario this Friday, January 31, 2014 at 6 pm. It is located at 285 Geneva St. g3 . A portion of the signing proceeds will go to the Niagara Suicide Prevention Coalition (www.niagarasuicideprevention.weebly.com)

The Gospel According to Josh... is Rivedal’s memoir—a comedic and poignant coming of age story based in part on his acclaimed one-man show that has toured across twenty-six U.S. states and two Canadian provinces.

“What stands out for me about The Gospel According to Josh are the themes of redemption and hope in the face of crisis,” says author Rivedal. “To tell such a heavy story, I had to use humor—which can be a normal human reaction to some forms of tragedy, like my own clinical depression after my dad’s suicide. With this book I want to tell people who are struggling with depression or suicidal thoughts—it’s cool, it’s okay to need help; people have your back.”

The Gospel According to Josh was recently added to The American Foundation for Suicide Prevention's recommended reading list for survivors of suicide loss.

Author Rivedal will be doing promotional events, book signings, and speeches with The Gospel... over the next several months across the US and Canada. The Gospel According to Josh: A 28-Year Gentile Bar Mitzvah  is available at Amazon, Chapters, Barnes & Noble, or at www.Gospeljosh.com
