Las Vegas Mini Maker Faire 2014 Call For Makers Opens
Now accepting applications for makers, sponsors, and speakers
The Maker Faire is an annual event originally created by Make Magazine that celebrates makers, hackers, tinkerers, inventors and dreamers. It has been compared to a Science Fair
or a community Show & Tell where people can come and demonstrate their creations to a receptive audience. Official events are held in the San Francisco Bay Area and New York,
but communityrun Mini Maker Faires are held all over the world. Maker Faire is an allages, familyfriendly event that kids, parents and grandparents can all enjoy together. There will be interactive artwork, food trucks, demonstrations, live performances and much more to discover.
Any Las Vegas locals or businesses interested in unveiling the fun, unique and interesting projects they have been working on are invited to sign up for a booth at the fair to showcase their work to the community. We are looking for engineering projects, culinary adventurers, robots, wearable art, electronic marvels and print makers to name a few. There is no charge for independent makers; a small fee will apply to commercial works. We are also seeking speakers and performers to take the stage throughout the day on topics relevant to the Maker spirit. A limited number of sponsorship slots are also available.
