PRLog -- Breakout 2013 rookie Lathan Atkinson will be joining the Australian PGA Tour in 2014. Atkinson, who last year competed on the Asian Developmental Professional Tour will now be competing in Australia for the 2014 PGA Series Tour. After a low key season in 2013 Atkinson has received a sponsors exemption to play in upcoming events in Australia. After suffering an injury in Qualifying school last month in Melbourne, Atkinson was forced to drop out of competition in attaining his Tour card for the Australian PGA Tour. Atkinson who is managed by a boutique but high profile Sports Management agency out of Scottsdale, Arizona released the news last week about Atkinson who is one of their clients. Atkinson who remarkably has only been competing in competitive golf for only 3 years is considered somewhat of a golf phenom. He resides in Atlanta, Georgia and trains in the Tampa/Orlando Florida area on the off season. Atkinson stated that he is very excited in competing in Australia this year but will rejoin and still compete in Asian Tour events in the 2014 season. Atkinson has also picked up sponsorship from Wolf Exploration who is a Natural Gas and Exploration Company based out of Brisbane, Australia.
