It's easy pick up your Vietnam visa at the Vietnam airports. You need to have 4 things to process it: your passport, visa approval letter, two photos (4x6 cm) and the stamping fee.

Dec. 30, 2013 - PRLog -- Straight out from the start, a visa-on-arrival for Vietnam should not be called on arrival at all. People cannot just show up at the airport and hand in their passport for visa stamp. They actually has to apply in advance to receive a copy of Visa Approval Letter from the Vietnam Immigration Department. The process can simply be illustrated as follows:
- Apply visa approval letter online
- Get visa stamp at the Airport

Apply visa approval letter
You must apply online via travel agents. Type your information in applicant form then payment processing fee. The amount of the processing fee depends on the duration and type of your visa. When I was there it cost in USD $20 for a one-month visa and $30 for a three-month visa (You should refer at Vietnam visa fee http://www.luckyvietnamvisa.com/vietnam-visa-fee/ ). Payment must be made via a money order or cashier's check.
The letter will be send to your email in one to two working days. Then your must print the letter (black and white is ok). Always go with a trusted company to apply for your visa. How can you tell? Look at the URL to see if they are relevant to what you are looking for. A big name for Vietnam visa service is Lucky Vietnam Visa (http://www.luckyvietnamvisa.com/)
Note: If you know you are staying for less than a month, then go for the one-month. If you are not sure about how long you are staying and you are meandering around with your backpack in the area for a while, you probably want to spring for the three-month visa.

Get visa stamp at the Airport?
Get off the plane and walk quickly past the other foreigners or you will be waiting in line behind them. You will enter a large passport control room. On the far left wall is the visa on arrival office.
Go to the window and hand them your passport, the two papers and the two passport photos. Take a seat and wait for them to call your name - with a strong Vietnamese accent.
Once your name is called, go up to the window and pay the fee. The visa on arrival people give you your passport back and it has a beautiful full-page sticker inside which is your visa. Now you can go to one of the many passport lines and hand them your passport. You get a stamp and you are on your way. One of the cool things about traveling to Vietnam is there are no customs forms - other than the visa thing.
