Follow on Google News | ![]() Film Lab’s First Event of 2014 to Feature Celena Cipriaso , Kenneth Lin and Zhubin Parang!The Asian American Film Lab's First Event of 2014 to Feature Celena Cipriaso (All My Children) , Kenneth Lin (House of Cards), and Zhubin Parang (The Daily Show) on Writing for Television.
The event is part of the Film Lab’s signature “Industry Spotlight” program, in which established industry professionals share their knowledge, expertise and advice with up and coming, new and aspiring creatives. Thus Film Lab Industry Spotlight, “Writing for TV,” will take place in Manhattan on Thursday, January 30th, 2013, 7-9pm. The event will be open to the public although, due to high demand, the Film Lab is asking people to RSVP in advance to guarantee a seat. The Film Lab management team consists of Jennifer Betit Yen (President and Board Member), Aurora Betson (Grants & Fundraising) About Celena Cipriaso Celena Cipriaso has written for ABC's All My Children and is currently co-writing two screenplays with director/producer Diane Paragas of Civilian Studios. Her pilot "Evolved" was a Quarter-Finalist in the Creative World Awards, and her spec of The Walking Dead, "Little Children" was a Semi-Finalist in the Creative World Awards and also in the top 10% of the Austin Film Festival TV competition. As a playwright, her work has been performed in various venues in New York City and throughout the Northeast. Her most recent production will be of her short "Language Lessons" at Bindlestiff Studios in San Francisco in 2014. She's also freelance journalist that's written for CNN, The Root, Slate, Draft, Arts America, Film Buff, Bitch, and Intel. End
