Follow on Google News | The Darkside Universe Has Doubled In Size!Conception, Volume 2 of the Darkside Trilogy is now available
The Darkside Trilogy tells exactly what would happen in America if it was discovered that a community of African Americans had been secretly living on the backside of moon since the 1960s. Literary newcomer, William Hayashi, tells us in spades in Discovery, installment one of The Darkside Trilogy. Hayashi’ Hayashi, born and raised in Chicago of Japanese and African-American parents, has integrated the experiences of his technical background with a speculative fictional story combining the best literary traits of Michael Crichton and Robert Ludlum, to bring forth an alternate reality that could easily be ripped from the headlines today. Discovery, Volume One of the Darkside Trilogy weaves together a multiple missing person case trend hidden in FBI statistics for decades with a mysterious aircraft shot down in the Iraqi “no fly” zone, a confidential military project housed a mile underground in the wilds of Utah and a newly discovered asteroid on course for a close encounter with planet Earth. The story is a creative blend of political, military and international espionage with law enforcement intrigue. This story, at its heart, is a mystery, that when revealed, sets the sociological and cultural conventions of the United States of America completely on its ear. The revelations of the discovery in this tale change all perception of African Americans and lays bare the larger fiction of our nation’s promise of equality for all. Conception, Volume Two of the Darkside Trilogy, tells the story of the extraordinary community of African Americans discovered living on the moon; their coming together, their ingenuity, and their ambitious plan to create their own community to control their own destiny. A chance discovery of one of the fundamental forces of physics leads to an invention unprecedented in the history of man. This invention is the basis for technologies that permits this special group of adventurers to build a secret colony on the backside of the moon. Conception is the exciting second installment of the Darkside Trilogy that will leave readers awaiting the epic conclusion of the tale in Confrontation; Hayashi’s writing is bolstered by a wealth of life experiences, from a lifetime of work in the information technologies industry to philanthropy and broadcast media. Hayashi was honored in 2001 by the Illinois Department of Children and Family Services while serving as Board Chair of the social service agency, Cabrini Green Youth and Family Services, for bringing Best Business Practices to the Social Service Agency Model. Hayashi also hosts an online radio show Friday evenings for the BlackScienceFictionSociety.com Web site End
