BOCA RATON, Fla. - Dec. 19, 2013 - PRLog -- Looking to organize the house, office or garage for the New Year? But you’re not sure where to start, how to get organized, and/or the right tools to make the process simpler? Who better than to provide you with all the tools and tips you need than the members of the National Association of Professional Organizers® (NAPO) South Florida? NAPO South Florida is a network of 40 professionals located in Dade, Broward, Palm Beach, Martin, St. Lucie, Collier and Brevard counties, each of whom own and/or are affiliated with organizing-related businesses.

Just in time for the New Year, members of NAPO South Florida have listed their favorite tips and tools to get organized.

·         Laura Johnston of Clear Desk Organizing in Palm Beach likes the Planner Pad Agenda. Her tip for getting organized in the New Year is to “keep your to-do list on top of the page and your appointments at the bottom so that you remember to keep appointments with yourself.”

·         Ximena Lopez of Zensible Organizing, LLC in Weston prefers the Helpful Waist Pouch, which helps her be efficient, save time, and be productive when working with clients. She adds: “I carry all the little tools I might need handy such as measuring tape, a level, pencil, marker, flashlight, post-it notes, scissors, plastic ties, stapler, staple remover, clip and rubber bands.”

·         Barbara Powell of Navigate Your Space in North Miami prefers her various iPhone and iPad apps, including Freshbooks, iRecycle and Workflowy. She says: “It's like having a personal assistant with you everywhere, since most of us have our phone or tablet within reach at all times.”

·         Kelly Barber, Founder of MeInOrder.com, recommends the 3M Command Hooks, which she uses in the kitchen for utensils, bathroom for the hair dryer and in closets for hats. “Command Hooks are perfect for organizing,” Barber added. “They are a very versatile product that can be used anywhere in the home.”

·         Michelle Katzman of Katzman Consulting, LLC in Palm City shared the Identity Theft Card Stamp, which allows you to stamp out your address or other important information on paperwork so that you don’t have to shred it. “It’s a quick and easy solution for those that want more privacy,” said Katzman.

Other NAPO South Florida members recommend organization products ranging from Packing Cubes to the Evernote iPhone app.

“Every year the members of NAPO South Florida come together to present our favorite tools for getting organized and then share with one another why we like the item,” said Barber, who is also NAPO South Florida president. “It’s always one of my favorite group meetings because not only is it fun to see what other professional organizers like, there is always more to learn about organization and the amazing tools than can help us and our clients get there.”
