Twenty Per Cent of all Divorcees use Quickie Divorce

CARDIFF, Wales - Nov. 26, 2013 - PRLog -- Twenty per cent of all divorcees in England and Wales used online divorce provider Quickie Divorce to end their marriages in the second quarter of 2013. A total of 32,025 applications were filed from the 1^st April to the 30^th June 2013, with Quickie Divorce having assisted 6,136 clients during the same period.

The company, which was formed in 1999, made these findings after deciding to review how the withdrawal of legal aid had affected the number of official online enquiries that they had received. These figures where then compared to those made available via a report from the Ministry of Justice (Source (https://www.gov.uk/government/uploads/system/uploads/attachment_data/file/245095/court-stats-april-june-2013.pdf)) revealing the number of divorces that had been filed within the specified timeframe. When Quickie Divorce’s figures were combined with the additional 350 enquiries passed on from affiliates, the total number of individuals that sought their assistance stood at 20.25 per cent.

A spokesperson for Quickie Divorce stated that: “this is more than likely due to the greater number of people that are now seeking assistance from alternative sources such as online companies following the withdrawal of legal aid for divorce.

“Interestingly, whilst many have predicted that the withdrawal of legal aid would bring down the divorce rate, nearly one thousand more applications were received in the second quarter of 2013 when compared with the first (Source (https://www.gov.uk/government/uploads/system/uploads/atta...)), suggesting that online companies such as Quickie Divorce are growing in popularity as a result of it having been removed.”
