U.S. Ambassador Attends INJAZ Board of Trustees Welcome Reception

Nov. 25, 2013 - PRLog -- The USAID-funded INJAZ program, organized a welcome reception in honor of its new board of trustees for academic year 2013-2014. U.S. Ambassador to Jordan, Stuart Jones attended the event November 19 at the Crowne Plaza Hotel as an honorary guest. The Minister of Social Development, HE Mrs. Reem Abu Hassan; the Minister of Labor, HE Dr. Nidal Al Qatamine; HE Eng. Yaroub Qudah, representing the Ministry of Industry, Trade and Supply; and Eng. Mohammad al-Adayleh, representing the Ministry of Planning and International Cooperation, , also attended the event as honorary guests.

Ambassador Jones observed that the United States Government’s partnership with Jordan aimed to inspire and prepare youth for the global workforce. He thanked the INJAZ Board of Trustees for their contribution and strong commitment to INJAZ’s mission.

Dr. Amjad Aryan, INJAZ’s newly elected chairman, welcomed the guests and lauded the board’s dedicated efforts. He also expressed appreciation for the invaluable and continued support of INJAZ partners in contributing toward the betterment of the kingdom’s youth and Jordan’s economy. Moreover, INJAZ’s CEO, Ms. Deema Bibi, introduced new INJAZ students, who presented their projects to the audience.

INJAZ was established as a project under Save the Children and funded by USAID in 1999. In 2001, it became an independent non-profit Jordanian organization under the patronage of Her Majesty Queen Rania Al Abdullah with the mission of inspiring and preparing young Jordanians to become productive members in their society and succeed in the global economy. Since its inception, INJAZ has successfully reached more than 850,000 beneficiaries across the kingdom with the support of over 22,000 volunteers and its network of dedicated partners from the private, public, and civic society sectors. INJAZ is also a member of Junior Achievement Worldwide.
