| The Next Generation of Hip-Hop and Rap Resides in Detroit22 year old Kameron Potts is bringing a new wave of good energy, thoughtful and poetic lyrics, and a positive influence to the city of Detroit and fans of hip-hop and rap.
Potts attended the Detroit Open School; a creative institution where he learned to draw, paint, write poetry and express his feelings through art. "I was considered weird in Detroit, actually. I grew up on a lot of rap, hip-hop, soul, rock, all that stuff. I'm really diverse in my tastes," he explained. It was the experience of growing up "weird" that helped shape Potts' approach to the music industry. "You can't rely on anybody to get you where you're going. The stuff I'm workin on now, people really think is good and I'm trying to incorporate all of my influences into one," added Potts.
