ASHFORD, Conn. - Nov. 21, 2013 - PRLog -- Entourage Yearbooks announced their 4th Annual National Yearbook Competition awards, recognizing AFS Intercultural Programs from Connecticut with the distinctive Honorable Mention in High School Photography.  The Entourage National Yearbook Competition is a nationally sponsored contest judging school yearbooks across the dimensions of creativity, originality, and journalistic relevance.  Hundreds of schools enter across all fifty states at the Elementary, Middle School, and very competitive High School level.

This achievement recognizes AFS Intercultural Programs for putting together a notable yearbook at the High School level.  Their entry was submitted at the end of June 2013 and was officially awarded on October 16th, 2013.  The AFS Intercultural Programs yearbook was selected from hundreds of school who had submitted entries from around the country.

The Southern New England Team of AFS Intercultural Exchange welcomed 18 high school students from 13 countries in a program that built bridges of intercultural understanding by sharing home and daily life with families from Connecticut and western Massachusetts.  This yearbook helps memorialize the special memories and relationships made during their school year in the United States.   AFS welcomes more than 2300 international high schools students a year into the US and sends students to 50 countries around the world. More about Entourage’s National Yearbook Competition:

This is the 4th annual Entourage National Yearbook Competition in recognition of schools with yearbooks created by students and school volunteers.  To participate, schools had to submit their yearbook content into categories for overall yearbook, page design, photography, and cover design.  This year over 800 schools entered the competition.

Judging of the contest entries is based on a balanced rating across the dimensions of creativity, originality and journalistic relevance. Schools are judged separately at the Elementary, Middle School and High School levels. The judging committee is composed of both expert yearbook journalists at Entourage and invited yearbook experts from across the industry.

"We’re thrilled by the level of achievement seen among this year's competitors and winners.  I want to personally wish all the schools who have received an award a well deserved congratulations.” says Entourage’s President Elias Jo.
