PCR Educator 3rd Quarter Results

The results of the third quarter financial report indicate that the revenue is up 29% compared to the 3rd quarter of last year. With two consecutive years of growth, PCR Educator is now serving about 2 million users every day. This dramatic surge is fueled by an increase in the public’s interest in and understanding of the benefits of a cloud-based system, new features like the integrated website CMS module, and improvements to the company’s customer service protocols.

‘We are extremely pleased with the direction of our business. Schools are becoming more knowledgeable about the increased productivity and security offered by a truly integrated and hosted suite. We are seeing schools save hundreds of thousands of dollars in man hours through integration. When that starts happening, word gets around,’ explained Maria Duhovich, president of PCR Educator.

The frequency and intensity of natural disasters around the world has led many school administrators to seek a safer venue to store records. Events like Hurricane Katrina, where large numbers of schools lost all records, demonstrates the need to have multiple backups of files in geographically removed locations.

‘If you look at a company like Google, they are continually adding new locations to backup and store the mountain of data that they possess. They understand the danger inherent in keeping all of your information locally. Schools need to protect themselves the same way,’ said Fe van Akkeren, Executive Vice President at PCR Educator.

Another benefit of this model of software deployment is the ease with which new features and updates can be incorporated. Schools using PCR Educator no longer need to install anything. Updates and software fixes are done automatically. New features are added into the suite without schools hitting a single key. Schools that switch from older websites that have to communicate with an SIS to the integrated PCR Educator CMS website are able to deliver more personalized content through one single database.

This approach also means better customer service. The traditional model of software deployment required that a technician physically visit a school, access its databases, and make applicable fixes. In a cloud-based system, this is not necessary, allowing for quicker response time to customer service requests.

‘Over the past 12 months, we have improved our average resolution time by over 20%. Schools get their issues addressed more quickly and we are able to be much more proactive with the new Account Consultant service.  That way if there is a problem, clients have an actual person to turn to. We believe that the better we get at responding to our clients, the more we will see our business grow,’ Mrs. Duhovich said.
