Follow on Google News | Lightning Source Puts Santa's Sleigh Back on TrackAll's well that ends well may not be good enough in the case of the book printing behemoth Lightning Source. They still may be on Santa's Naughty List despite protestations.
“Even though we were two hours into the show, Lightning Source improved the situation and delivered the books to the Convention Center on Saturday around 11:00,” said Moore. Because of the show itself and the actions of Lightning Source, Moore said he was able to sell the most books he ever has on a single day. “Naturally, I now have to order more books from them,” Moore chuckled in his traditional ho, ho, ho, “But if I needed a problem, that's the one to have.” Many new readers found Moore's books irresistible and bought both Believe Again, The North Pole Chronicles and Faith, Hope & Reindeer in equal numbers to add to their collections. Moore's third book in the trilogy, Glaciers Melt & Mountains Smoke is due to be released mid-January, 2014 and he hasn't decided whether or not Lightning Source will be the printer. “While they say all's well that ends well, this was far more stressful than it needed to be, and I will have to decide if I wish to be put into that situation again,” said Moore. Moore said that there are more concerns regarding Lightning Source than just the late delivery. He said his representative emailed him after his release and said, “This order you placed was in our normal turnaround time. We have done nothing wrong here. As stated in my email to you Tuesday morning, this order likely was not going to print and ship until early this morning.” Moore objects saying that there was never an email from them, and that he did not pay for 'normal time'. “It concerns me that they think they just did business as usual and see no wrong in what they did,” stated Moore, “That just suggests that they would do it again and maybe next time not correct their mistake.” But for now Moore is pleased that he was able to make a very respectable appearance at the Kentucky Book Fair, and said he would definitely return if invited again. “It is a great show and a very class act, and I would love to return next year with all three of my books.” End
