San Diego Self Storage Supports Community Resource Center Holiday Baskets Program

SAN DIEGO - Nov. 7, 2013 - PRLog -- In the administration of their on-going community outreach program, San Diego Self Storage (SDSS) donated 200 toys to the Community Resource Center (CRC) Holiday Baskets project to benefit underprivileged children. The project serves approximately 1,700 deserving households in San Diego’s North County through the donation of food, blankets, gifts and bicycles during the holiday season. The mission of CRC is to provide families in need and victims of domestic violence with safety, stability and a path to self-sufficiency. CRC’s Social Services Department provides homeless and at-risk of homeless households with tools and resources necessary to avoid homelessness and hunger. Case Managers and Counselors work with clients on an individual and group basis to assess needs and assist clients on their path to long-term self-sufficiency. The non-profit organization also provides a refuge for domestic violence victims at “Carol’s House”, an emergency shelter facility and operates thrift stores in Encinitas, Carlsbad, Oceanside and San Marcos.

The Holiday Baskets program that we have contributed toys to will brighten the lives of children who might otherwise have to do without this holiday season.”
