Daryl Flood Appoints New Director of Safety

DALLAS - Nov. 6, 2013 - PRLog -- Daryl Flood Relocation & Logistics announces J. Scott Roberts as Director of Safety, Compliance & Risk Management. With 15 years of experience in the Transportation industry, Scott will work to maintain Daryl Flood’s ongoing commitment to highway and driver safety by ensuring that the company’s Transportation and Warehousing Departments set the highest standard in safety compliance.

Scott’s primary focus is on the overall safety and compliance of the company’s fleet of more than 180 tractor trailers and straight trucks. He will maintain vehicle records and schedule routine inspections to meet Department of Transportation (DOT) and Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration (FMCSA) regulations. Scott will oversee the Driver Qualification process, new driver orientation and continuous learning programs. Scott’s knowledge in safety training and education will be a great asset to the company as he will develop a comprehensive safety program to keep pace with regulatory changes, company growth and diversity. His goals are to improve Department of Transportation (DOT) scores, peer rankings and the culture of safety within the organization.

Prior to relocating to Dallas, Scott held a Director of Safety position where he created a safety program for a fleet of 500 trucks resulting in large improvements in DOT scores, accident rates and accident costs. Scott is a member of the National Private Truck Council where he earned a Certified Transportation Professional (CTP) designation. Scott also holds a Certified Director of Safety (CDS) designation from the North American Transportation Management Institute (NATMI).
