Follow on Google News | The Nurses from Nurse Response Help to Bring Awareness to National Health Education WeekNurse Response, a national provider of multilingual nurse triage and health care education, is pleased to bring awareness to National Health Education Week through health education tips.
By: Nurse Response “Nurse Response believes that through education, we can empower those we serve to take an active role in managing their health,” said Kim Tuck, RN, President & CEO of Nurse Response. “From our Emergency Department Education program that provides guidance around what type of care to seek in specific situations to reaching out to individuals to ensure well-child or preventative visits are scheduled, we are committed to helping those we serve make healthier decisions in their lives." The RNs at Nurse Response have compiled a few health care education tips based on their experience: · Use Resources Available to You: Find out if you have access to a nurse advice line through your employer or health plan. It is a great resource to receive clinical guidance about a health situation you are facing – all in the convenience of your own home. Many non-life threatening medical conditions can be cured by over the counter drugs and home remedies. By calling your nurse advice line, an RN can accurately identify your needs and recommend the appropriate level of care for the situation – whether it be home care, an appointment with a primary care provider, or a visit to Urgent Care or the ER. Most nurse advice lines are 24/7, so when you can’t reach a physician and you aren’t sure what to do, your nurse advice line is there to ease your mind and help you through a situation. · Be Proactive in Your Own Health: Completing a health risk assessment is an easy way to take charge of your own personal health. Information recovered during health assessments can alert you of your current health status and bring any possible health risks to light. · Don’t Skip Screenings and Tests: Be sure to complete tests requested by your physicians during annual physicals and preventative visits to catch disease and condition symptoms early. Many serious diseases can be managed or prevented when they are caught at an early stage. · Follow Instructions: For more information about National Health Education Week, visit http://www.sophe.org/ About Nurse Response Nurse Response is a wholly owned subsidiary of Centene Corporation that is in the business of providing multilingual telehealth services.
