You want to always add value in your articles and attempt to help people with their issues.  Your articles should try to solve a problem for your readers.  Even if you are providing entertaining content your readers will come to you for a daily pick me up.  Just remember if your article addresses an issue that your reader has been wondering about, it is likely they will search for more of your work and continue to visit your blog site.

As you submit your articles to directories learn their rules.  Every directory submission company has their own set of rules and submission regulations.  You want to make sure you are following their rules or you will get your information banned from their site.  When creating an account ensure that you understand their regulations so you can develop a long profitable relationship.

When posting your article use short descriptions that are creative and concise.  This information is directly below your article title in the search results obtained from the search engine rankings.  Make sure your description completely describes what your article is about while encouraging the viewer to click on your article for more information.  Spend a little time creating an intriguing description so people will want to click on your link.  Provide a hint of what the article is about without giving too much information away, to encourage your readers to click for more.

When writing your articles make sure they are easy to read.  Visitors are unlikely to finish reading your article if the readability is low.  Use simple wording and short paragraphs to make your article more user-friendly.  There is no need to write college level essays that may turn off your readers, keep it simple.  The easier it is for people to read your articles the more likely they will be to understand what you are trying to say and get your point.  The more the reader understands your topic the better chance you have of converting them to a regular visitor and possible customer.
