Robert “Chris” Gigstad Becomes a Member of the National College for DUI Defense®

OVERLAND PARK, Kan. - Oct. 21, 2013 - PRLog -- Overland Park, KS – Robert “Chris” Gigstad, also known as the “KC DUI Guy,” practices criminal and DUI defense at his firm, the Gigstad Law Office, LLC in Overland Park, Kansas. The firm is excited to announce that attorney Gigstad has become a member of the National College for DUI Defense®.

It is the mission of the National College for DUI Defense® to provide the finest, advanced-level training available for DUI defense attorneys. The College offers, or co-sponsors a minimum of four legal and scientific seminars annually. For example, the Summer Session is conducted at Harvard Law School in July and is the signature program that develops trial skills, including methods for arguing field sobriety tests, breath tests and blood tests, and for learning cross-examining techniques against police officers and prosecution experts, and for the development and utilization of expert witnesses.

The College also co-sponsors a three-day seminar on “Mastering Scientific Evidence,” which is dedicated to perfecting the latest trial skills and applying them to forensic toxicology as well as other DUI-related scientific disciplines.

The National College for DUI Defense, Inc. has recognized an emerging area of practice within the field of criminal defense and for those defenders who represent individuals who have been accused of driving under the influence of alcohol or drugs; the College has recognized the need for specialized education to practice in DUI defense. The primary mission of the College is to promote public welfare by providing the highest level of training in this unique area of criminal defense law.
