Simplimatic Automation Introduces New Spiral Conveyor

Offers Tighter Diameter, Long-Lasting Chain and Options for Adjustability

Lynchburg, Virginia – October 16, 2013 – Simplimatic Automation, a leading provider of conveyors and automation for the semiconductor, electronics, packaging, assembly, pharmaceutical and automotive industries, has developed a new, space-saving spiral conveyor to benefit multiple products and industries. This innovative design allows continuous product flow while changing elevations and offers the convenience of smaller size with greater strength.

The biggest advantage to the spiral conveyor is its need for less floor space. The new spiral conveyor is available at a tighter diameter of just 36 inches, thereby requiring a smaller footprint and an easier fit into compact spaces than competitors’ conveyor options. The Simplimatic spiral conveyor permits customization through adjustable guides, whereas competing spiral conveyors are fixed in their form and function.

The new spiral conveyor is easily adaptable for different products and is even offered in a wash-down application. Its corrosion-protected RexHiPro roller chains provide high protection against mechanical and chemical impact, with corrosion resistance in a salt spray test at >600 h acc. to ISO 9227. The long lifespan of the chain reduces and eliminates the need to replace parts, so day-to-day operation costs on the spiral are very low. “Our new spiral conveyor reinforces our commitment to simplifying and streamlining material production for a range of industries,” said Ray Moltchan, Simplimatic Automation Project Engineering Manager. “By engaging a conveyor that requires less space, companies are afforded more room for other essential production equipment and resources.”
