The Next Generation 2015 Cadillac Escalade Unveiled

This fourth generation of the venerable full-size Escalade SUV features a dynamic new design that is clean, angular, distinctive, and finely detailed. The dramatic new LED front and rear lighting, new grille with active shutters, and hands-free power liftgate, all enhance Cadillac’s Art and Science signature design.

Premium materials throughout the spacious cabin lend an air of sophistication and elegance. An active noise cancellation system along with sound-reducing materials makes the interior significantly quieter than the previous generation models.

The interior upgrades include new standard heated and cooled front bucket seats, heated second-row captain’s chairs, new flat-folding rear seats, and a new remote power second-row flip down feature.

The 2015 Escalade will be offered in four trim levels—Base, Limited, Premium, and Platinum. Each model is powered by the robust new generation small-block 6.2L V8 engine. Re-engineered and more efficient, the EcoTec3 6.2L features variable valve timing, and active fuel management. Output jumps from 403 hp to 420 hp with 460 lb-ft of torque. The standard transmission is a 6-speed Hydra-Matic with TapShift control. Maximum trailering capacity is a whopping 8200 pounds.

The full range of safety features are included across all trim levels, while advanced safety systems such as Side Blind Zone Alert, Rear Cross Traffic Alert, and Lane Change Alert are added to the Premium and Platinum models.
