The Cadillac ELR is a New Model That Will Be Released in January 2015

The ELR will effectively seek to provide drivers with real electric-vehicle efficiency, allowing most drivers to conduct shorter trips without using any gas. Luckily, it will also provide the versatility to travel farther thanks to the gas engine. The battery of the ELR will be able to charge in 4.5 hours with a 240 V charging station, and will take around 12 hours to charge with a 120 V plug in. The ELR will also feature a “Regen on Demand” feature that can be activated with wheel-mounted paddles to help recharge the battery during deceleration.

The ELR will get some distinguishing Cadillac features as well, including the CUE infotainment system with navigation and eight-inch color touchscreen display. Lane departure and forward collision warning systems will also be available. Outside, the ELR is designed with the current Cadillac “Art and Science” design language, and features luxurious touches like 20-inch aluminum wheels.
