RFgen's Mobile Data Collection Software Version 5 Delivers More Mobile App Design Flexibility

Delivering over a dozen enhancements, RFgen’s latest release includes major upgrades to the RFgen Mobile Framework and Development Studio. Added in this new release is a new feature called “mobile themes” which gives developers significant control over how their RFgen applications will look on end-devices; designers can choose from multiple options to deliver mobile applications offering Android, Apple iOS, and Windows control styles. Depending on the end device capabilities, RFgen also fully supports most standard touch screen gestures such as swiping to scroll a list.

RFgen v5 also introduces Server Load Balancing Cluster support, a new feature designed to increase system performance and reliability. This technology allows users to configure multiple RFgen servers into a group which will manage incoming devices as a shared pool, evenly distributing the load across all servers. These linked servers also share licensing information, so if one fails the licenses will transfer to others so they can continue to support the full number of authorized devices.
