Mrs. Renfro's brand heads East to China

FORT WORTH, Texas - Oct. 3, 2013 - PRLog -- East met West at SIAL China 2013, Asia’s largest international food and beverage show in Shanghai in May, and they liked what they tasted. Now, Renfro Foods’ Mrs. Renfro’s brand is headed to The Red Dragon.

Working with distributor Direct Resource LLC, Renfro Foods successfully showcased 300 jars for the show. They have now filled their first order for 56 cases of the following 10 items: Mrs. Renfro’s Corn Relish, Green Tomato Pickles, Whole Jalapeno Peppers, regular Nacho Cheese Sauce, Roasted Salsa, Pomegranate Salsa, Pineapple Salsa, Mango Habanero Salsa, Medium Salsa and Green Salsa.

“This is a ‘test’ order,” said Doug Renfro, president of Renfro Foods, “and can be quite an exciting expansion for us. At SIAL the Chinese loved our Tomato Relish and Green Tomato Pickles in addition to the salsa.  And an encouraging sign at the show was that the Chinese people kept trying to buy our sample jars.”

China has the potential to be Renfro Foods' sixth international market. The Mrs. Renfro's brand can already be found in Canada, the Caribbean, England, Scotland, and most recently, Spain.

All Mrs. Renfro's salsas are gluten-free, fat-free and made only with natural ingredients.
