American Paper & Twine Teacher of the Week – Week Four

NASHVILLE, Tenn. - Oct. 1, 2013 - PRLog -- “The Teacher of the Week program is a great way for us to give back to the community,” David Morris, American Paper & Twine CFO said. “Our partnership with Georgia-Pacific Communications Paper and other manufacturers, helps us provide so many incredible teachers the recognition they deserve, and this week is no exception.”

“Ms. Combs is not your average teacher. She doesn't have one lesson plan to teach to one grade level. Instead, she has many plans she must make to accommodate many grade levels with many different special needs students,” said Jennifer Lamb, East Cheatham Elementary parent. “She puts a lot of time and energy in making sure these kids have an appropriate education. She cares enough for her kids to write multiple grants so they can have sensory projects and can take field trips to public places and experience the real world.”

Each week during the Titans’ season, submissions are reviewed to find exceptional teachers. The winning teachers receive a $400 gift basket full of supplies for their classroom, and a new winner is announced every Tennessee Titans game. At the end of the season a ‘Teacher of the Year’ is selected from the Teacher of the Week winners. This deserving teacher will receive an award, a gift basket of school supplies (worth approximately $800) and tickets to the December 29th game vs. the Houston Texans.
