Workplace Law’s Head of Environment appointed to 2050 Group

Peter Watts, Head of Environment at Workplace Law, has been appointed to the 2050 Group, a dynamic industry group comprising young professionals, all representing a range of disciplines across the built environment.

CAMBRIDGE, U.K. - Oct. 1, 2013 - PRLog -- When the group was established in 2010, its aim was to feed into the Innovation and Growth Team review, an initiative led by the Construction Industry Council. The 2050 Group’s objectives include a vision of collaborative working, enabling construction disciplines and professional bodies to work together and achieving a carbon neutral construction industry by the year 2050.

Peter Watts comments:

“This is a great opportunity to work with other professionals looking at the environmental impacts of the construction industry and the opportunity to influence government policy. I am pleased to represent the FM sector because they are the ultimate managers of property and it is important that their considerations influence the construction process.”

Peter will attend a number of meetings throughout the year, representing the BIFM, taking part in the active forum to help positively shape the future of the Construction industry, as well as developing and reviewing strategic scenarios of the future.
