Robby Armstrong Performs Fundraising Event

Sept. 24, 2013 - PRLog -- (Nashville, Tenn. – September 23,2013) – Country artist Robby Armstrong will be performing at the fundraising event, “Save Our Sequoias; An Evening withDr. Guy McPherson” on October 5, 2013 at 7 p.m. The fundraiser will be held at the Three Rivers Art Center (41763 N. Fork Rd. Three Rivers, Calif. 93720).

The event, sponsored by OrangeRay, Chumps Video, Valley Voice and Blue Moon Nursery, is raising funds for Three Rivers Bread Basket Community Food Bank and the Grant Barrett Cancer Fund. Food is provided, along with a raffle.

About Robby Armstrong: California native Robby Armstrong has released his sophmore single, “Birthday Happy,” to Country radio and a music video, shot by Chris Hicky.  The releases come right before the launch of his self-titled album, which is scheduled for release Sept. 24 and will be available for purchase on iTunes and other major digital retailers.  Co-produced by Armstrong and Darrell Brown (LeAnn Rimes, Ty Herndon, Radney Foster), the album features 13 tracks, 12 of which were either written or co-written by Armstrong. Three songs on the record, “Rodeo,” “Birthday Happy,” and “Smokin’ and Drinkin’,” are also featured on the soundtrack and in the upcoming October release of the major motion picture, Gambit (featuring Cameron Diaz, Colin Firth), wherein he and his band make a cameo appearance.  Additionally, “Rodeo” is in The Sims video game and has been heard at Angels’ stadium as the Los Angeles Angels’ rally song. In July, Armstrong produced his fist musical score for the children’s eBook, Samuel T. Moore of Corte Magore (Skies America Publishing, 2013), which is now available on iTunes.
