Media Release - Vote for your Favourite DTM Artist

VAUGHAN, Ontario - Sept. 23, 2013 - PRLog -- The Remington Group has converted construction hoarding into an outdoor artists’ canvas this past week – and now those artists need your votes.

The Remington Group’s Downtown Markham development is thrilled to announce that 19 artists have been selected from an overwhelming number of applicants and have completed their interpretations of the perfect city for the public to enjoy.

Their completed works grace 300 feet of construction hoarding at the busy Markham intersection of Birchmount Road and Enterprise Boulevard.

Now the vote begins.

From September 24^th through October 31^st, the public is invited to vote on their favourite artist’s work.  Voting takes place at www.downtownmarkham.ca/publicart.  The winner will be awarded a $5,000 art commission by The Remington Group for installation in Downtown Markham.

“This diverse group of artists is talented, creative and expressive and we are delighted with the conversion of our roadways into an outdoor gallery for everyone to enjoy,” said Chris Bratty, President of Land Development and Investments.  “We look forward to announcing a winner in the months ahead.”
