Chiral Photonics Displays High Density Coupling Products at ECOC 2013 in London

PINE BROOK, N.J. - Sept. 18, 2013 - PRLog -- ·         1 x N Optical Switch: A small form factor, robust, non-latching, 30-60 channel switch will be demonstrated.

·         Multicore Fiber Fanouts: Low loss (< 0.9 dB), low crosstalk (< -48 dB), all-silica fanouts spliced to your multicore fiber of choice are available. Fanouts can also be connectorized with similar performance.

·         Photonic Integrated Circuit Couplers and Packaging: A growing line of innovative low-loss, low crosstalk couplers are available for probing and coupling your PICs. These include:

o    Spot Size Converters (SSCs) for PM coupling to even sub-micron mode field diameter waveguides.

o    Pitch Reducing Optical Fiber Arrays (PROFAs) offering high density arrays with up to 61 channels, with 30-50 µm channel spacing at 1550 nm. These are also available in new low profile (2 mm) configurations.

In addition to supplying couplers to you or your preferred packaging vendor, you can ship us your die for optoelectronic packaging.

·         High Power Pump-Signal Combiners and Fiber Laser Subassemblies: Combiners feature an all-silica design offering insertion loss of 0.3 dB loss or less for both pump and signal channels and are now available for PM fiber (e.g. PLMA 20/400) as well.
