Wise up to extra sales and lower bills - with Plumb and Parts Center

ROYAL LEAMINGTON SPA, U.K. - Sept. 17, 2013 - PRLog -- Helping installers boost their bottom line, while cutting fuel bills for homeowners, is the aim of a major Plumb and Parts Center campaign, which is launched in more than 500 branches UK-wide from October.

Returning for its third year, the Wise up to Water Treatment campaign helps installers understand how treatment can be a big benefit to them and their customers. The campaign, which is supported by Fernox, Adey and Sentinel, runs until the end of 2013.

“Having an A-rated boiler and not treating it is like buying a Ferrari and never changing the oil,” said Marketing Manager Gail van Dijk. “It looks great on the outside and it runs, but no way is it living up to its full potential and it’s costing the homeowner more than it should.

“Unfortunately some installers and their customers are missing a trick when it comes to water treatment, so we’ve teamed up with leading manufacturers to raise awareness, provide expert advice and offer some great deals,” said Gail.

Sludge, limescale and other debris can build up in the heating system and cause cold spots in radiators, damage to the boiler and a rise in energy costs, because the boiler has to work a lot harder to heat the home.

So water treatment is important to maintain a heating system’s efficiency, extend a boiler’s life and drive down bills, as well as giving installers another sales opportunity to powerflush, service and treat a system.

“The improving economic conditions will hopefully increase boiler sales but water treatment can boost business and improve energy efficiency today,” said Gail.
